HIKING TRAIL: 603, P3, P4
DURATION: Approx. 4 hours
From Siebenhütten through the Lärchenwald, to the St. Anna Chapel, on an uphill route grazing the tree line. Embark from the Knieps Bridge. After that, first proceed to the Hochpetzen summit, then over the Neubersch Climb (P4) into the Krischa-Kar, next to the hunting house on trail 603 which comes up from the valley. A modest half-hour climb from here will bring you to the summit station gondola lift.
HIKING TRAIL: P6
DURATION: Approx. 2-3 hours
Easterly from the summit station, past the Siebenhütten mountain guesthouse and the mountain rescue service, leading up to the customs hut. The path then skirts the ski slope downhill (crossroads of Petzen Road 1) up to the so-called hairpin bend in the Petzen Road. The descent of the Wandervogel continues to the left right after the bend.
After negotiating this relatively steep stretch, cross the Petzen Road and continue to descend down into the valley. When starting, head eastwards, traversing a mixed forest, and you will reach a family run after approx. 15 minutes. From here, continue on the path downwards into the valley to the so-called 3-er ground (visible from the newly built pump house). The trail then crosses the ski slope again and wends westwards towards the valley. Half an hour or so later, you will reach the managed Rustic Hut facility. From here, continue alongside the ski slope to the valley station gondola lift.
HIKING TRAIL: 603, P3, P4, P7
DURATION: Approx. 7 hours, day trip
From Siebenhütten through the Lärchenwald, to the St. Anna Chapel, on an uphill route grazing the tree line. Embark from the Knieps Bridge.
Not far from the Higher Petzen area, path 603 (Karawanks hiking trail) branches off
